Lt. Governor visits Guthrie for tours and podcast interview

The latest episode of the Hit The Bricks podcast saw Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell make the drive up to Guthrie for an interview and tours all over town. The Lt. Governor started his day off at the Territorial Capital Sports Museum for the podcast recording and a tour of the museum.

Next was a walk up 2nd street to the State Capital Publishing Building, with a quick stop by Dorwart's Boot Shop. A number of volunteers from the Publishing Building restoration committee provided an extensive tour of the building.

From there the Lt Gov headed down Harrison Ave for a stop at the Pollard Theatre, where planning is in in high gear for this year's streaming production of A Territorial Christmas Carol.

After stops at Cleveland & Co. Mercantile and the Double Stop Fiddle Shop, the Lt. Governor finished his day in Guthrie with a tour of Prairie Wolf Distillery, where their business expansion is in high gear. A number of City and State officials joined in the various tours and stops, with productive conversations centering around tourism, the film industry in Oklahoma & Guthrie, local retail, historic preservation, and the upcoming legislative session.

Just a reminder that Hit The Bricks is available for listening on platforms like Spotify, Apple, Google, etc.

You can watch all the previous episodes on YouTube as well.

I really enjoyed reading about the Lt. Governor's visit to Guthrie and the insights shared during the tour and podcast interview. It’s great to see local leadership actively engaging with the community like this. As someone who's involved in tech, I appreciate how such visits can shine a spotlight on the potential of local innovation and businesses. This kind of interaction can also inspire people in the tech industry to take part in similar initiatives, especially in growing fields like frontend development. FrontendLead is a great example of how technical expertise can contribute to community growth and local entrepreneurship.
